Booking information
Clear arrangements, agreed with a real person.
Requests and confirmation
Your taxi is booked only when Chris or Tom personally confirms availability, the fare and journey details. Check dates, UK pickup times, destinations, stops, passengers and luggage carefully.
When to call
Requests are generally reviewed between 8am and 10pm, with no guaranteed response time. During these hours, travel less than two hours away is call-only. Overnight requests for travel before 10am are call-only. Later journeys can be requested but remain unconfirmed until our reply.
Fares, stops and festive periods
Published prices are per four-passenger car. Airport and hospital fixed fares cover Seaford, including Bishopstone, and Alfriston without added positioning. Other local columns use the named reference points. Extra pickups on the main route or within half a mile are free; beyond that, the full one-way off-route distance is charged at £3 per mile. Where positioning applies to another route, it is £3 per chargeable mile. The Christmas period runs from 20:00 on 24 December to 07:00 on 27 December. The New Year period runs from 20:00 on 31 December to 00:01 on 2 January. Both require a personal quote. Read the fare list.
Changes, cancellations and refunds
Let us know promptly if you need to change or cancel. There is no cancellation fee, and any prepayment for a cancelled journey is refunded. Revised dates and times depend on availability. If an airline cancels an incoming flight before the driver has been dispatched, we offer a free change of booking or a refund. If the driver has already been dispatched, contact us to discuss the situation.
Airport and hospital waiting
We monitor flights; waiting caused by flight timing is free. Hospital wait-and-return includes up to 60 minutes of free waiting when agreed at booking. The fare guide is twice the one-way price, with the total personally confirmed. Extra hospital waiting is by arrangement. A timed return is a separate collection, charged as a second one-way journey.
Passengers, children and access
We carry up to four passengers. We do not supply child seats, but you may bring your own. Our cars are not wheelchair-adapted; fold-up wheelchairs and walking aids can be carried subject to space. Tell us about any practical needs in advance, without providing a diagnosis or medical history. Dogs and assistance dogs are welcome; please mention them when arranging your journey.
Walking transfers and luggage
A drop-off and a later collection are separate planned journeys; the driver does not wait throughout your walk. Agree road-accessible meeting points before setting off. For luggage transfers, arrange both handovers with the accommodation, label the bags, confirm there is enough space and prepay after confirmation but before collection. Luggage is not left unattended unless agreed. Any handover photos are kept private and used to confirm delivery.
Payments
You can pay for normal journeys by cash or card, including contactless, in the taxi. Luggage-only transfers require payment before collection. We’ll agree payment arrangements after confirming your journey. Payment never confirms availability by itself. We will only ask you to pay an agreed amount after confirming the booking.
